Lazio recently held a conference call with Hatayspor to discuss a deal for Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and are now preparing to send in their first offer. With the recent sale of Luis Alberto to Al-Duhail, Lazio have identified a need for a replacement to provide creativity behind the frontline.
The club sees Dele-Bashiru as an intriguing target and new head coach Marco Baroni has already approved the deal. He believes that the 23-year-old midfielder has similar characteristics to Michael Folorunsho, whom he previously worked with at Hellas Verona.
According to reports from Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio are now ready to send in their first official offer for Dele-Bashiru, hoping to secure a deal for less than €7 million plus add-ons. The goal is to finalize the deal with Hatayspor before the weekend and beat out other clubs who have shown interest in the player.
Despite interest from other clubs, Dele-Bashiru is reportedly keen on a move to Lazio and his potential transfer could help fill the void left by Luis Alberto’s departure. The Italian club is eager to secure the talented midfielder and strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
