This national nonprofit organization focuses on maintaining patient safety standards in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The grade recognizes the hospitals’ efforts in prioritizing patient safety and preventing harm and errors through various measures.
Dr. Caetie Rabon, Rural Regional Chief Medical Officer for McLeod Health, expressed gratitude for the recognition and attributed it to the hard work and dedication of the hospital teams. The Leapfrog Group evaluates hospitals based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries, infections, and the preventive systems in place.
