The first Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is quickly approaching, with the opportunity to reserve a seat closing soon. Scheduled to take place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1, this event provides small business owners and operators a chance to meet with city officials, including Mayor Richard Ortega and City Manager John Cassella, to discuss ways to support and enhance the success of small businesses in Safford.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, and the new beneficial ownership reporting requirements from the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS. Mayor Ortega encourages both new and established small business owners to attend, as there may be new information to glean from the event.
The event will kick off with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 a.m., followed by a 90-minute program starting at 7:30 a.m. There is no cost to attend, but seats must be reserved in advance through the City of Safford Spotlight on Business Breakfast Tickets event page on Eventbrite. Spotlight on Small Business is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
