Helsingborg, Sweden — Linn Grant of Sweden made a triumphant return by chipping in for birdie on the final hole Sunday to win the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed for the second time in her career. Grant started the final round 11 shots behind but closed with a 7-under 65 to secure a one-shot victory over Sebastian Soderberg and Calum Hill. Soderberg missed a short putt on the 18th hole that would have forced a playoff, ultimately giving Grant the win.

The Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed is a unique tournament that is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the Ladies European Tour, with both men and women playing on the same course for the same trophy and purse. Women play from a shorter set of tees, making it a truly mixed event. Grant previously won this tournament two years ago and was thrilled to win in front of her home crowd in Helsingborg.

Soderberg had a disappointing final round, carding a 77 after holding a one-shot lead on the 18th hole. His troubles began when he found a bunker on his approach shot and ultimately missed a short putt for bogey that would have extended the tournament. Grant commented on her unexpected win, stating that she went out on Sunday with the goal of having fun and making birdies, not expecting to win given the deficit she faced.

Calum Hill put up a solid fight, birdieing three of his last six holes to finish with a 69 and tie for second place alongside Soderberg. Despite the dramatic finish, it was Linn Grant who emerged victorious, capturing her second Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed title in front of her hometown crowd.
