Live Recap of Day 5 Preliminary Events

The fifth day of the 2023 World Junior Championships in Netanya, Israel is about to begin. The prelims event schedule for the day includes various races for both boys and girls, such as the Boys 100 Freestyle, Girls 100 Butterfly, Boys 400 Individual Medley, Girls 50 Freestyle, Boys 50 Breaststroke, Girls 4×100 Freestyle Relay, and Girls 1500 Freestyle.

In the Boys 100 Freestyle, Australian Flynn Southam is the top seed, but American Maximus Williamson has been performing exceptionally well throughout the week in the free events. American Leah Shackley, who won the girls 50 fly the previous night, is the #2 seed in the 100 fly and will be competing against top seed Lana Pudar from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Each event has specific time standards and records to beat, and the top qualifiers for each event have been listed. These qualifiers will move on to the next round of the championships.

Overall, the fifth day of the championships promises to be exciting, with top swimmers from around the world competing for the prestigious titles.
