The Colony Called Beyond is a new book by Michael L. Anderson that has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc. The story follows thirty scientists who are invited to work for a multinational company on Earth that owns a colony in the Kuiper Belt. Upon arriving at the colony called Beyond, they realize that their living quarters resemble more of a prison than a village. In order to survive, they must use their scientific abilities to break out or face starvation. As they navigate challenges such as illegal cloning, communication difficulties with Earth, and even a touch of romance, the scientists embark on an epic journey for freedom.

Author Michael L. Anderson was born in Doniphan, Missouri, and grew up on a farm where he learned the value of hard work. Despite struggling with dyslexia, he always aspired to become a writer. After serving in the Navy and exploring the Mediterranean, he finally pursued his passion by studying art, biology, psychology, and history in college. Anderson went on to become a teacher, got married, and settled back in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he now writes stories and newsletters for various organizations.
