Local Businesses Highlighted at Mother’s Day Market – The Morning Sun

Farwell’s Mother’s Day Market is a local farmers market featuring a variety of stalls. The market is located at 124 W. Illinois Street and is open on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm. Vendors from neighboring towns like Harrison, Farwell, and Marion also participate in the market. Additionally, the market hosts other events later in the season such as Father’s Day Markets, Cornhole Tournaments, and Kids’ Markets.

The Mother’s Day Market, which took place on May 13th, offered a gift basket from Members First Credit Union where customers could enter a drawing. Shoppers were also given free flowers during the event. Kait Cole of Kait’s Bakes was one of the vendors at the market. Kait’s Bakes specializes in sourdough bread, among other baked goods. Cole started her business after looking for clean bread with low preservatives for her family.

Another company at the market was Kingdom Acres LLC, which sells baked goods, produce, and meat. This is their first market and they were excited to be a part of it. The market is a great way for local businesses to connect with the community.
