The LA’s BEST Afterschool Enrichment Program Board of Directors is excited to introduce Michele Broadnax as the new President and CEO of LA’s BEST. With over 30 years of experience in fundraising, public relations, and program development, Michele has a proven track record of success in the nonprofit, for-profit, and public sectors.
Michele’s commitment to empowering students is evident in her efforts to advance equity in education. LAUSD Alberto M. Carvalho expressed his confidence in Michele, stating, “Leadership matters, especially when it comes to the noble, difficult work of serving young people.” He looks forward to partnering with her as she leads LA’s BEST in providing safe and enriching afterschool programs to students in Los Angeles Unified.
Having been involved in the Los Angeles community for many years, Michele is dedicated to improving the lives of its residents. Mayor Karen Bass recognizes Michele’s dedication and anticipates working with her in this new role. She acknowledges Michele’s impact on children and families and is confident that it will continue to grow through her leadership of LA’s BEST.
