Over the weekend, a fuel trailer was reported stolen from a business in Butte County, California. A few days later, deputies discovered the trailer abandoned on the side of the road, along with a man and his truck near Palermo Honcut Highway and Lower Honcut Road. After conducting an investigation, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office determined that the man was responsible for stealing the trailer.
The suspect was arrested for grand theft and possession of stolen property. In addition, a woman who was found to be associated with the suspect was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were taken into custody by the BCSO.
Following the arrests, the stolen trailer was returned to its rightful owner. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office has not provided any additional information about the incident at this time.
