Man arrested for arson shortly after attempted fire at west side business

A man in Cincinnati has been arrested and charged with arson after attempting to set fire to a family-owned business on the west side of the city. The Cincinnati Fire Department reported that 36-year-old Robert Justice has been charged with Arson to Private Property, a fourth-degree felony. The incident occurred at Bob’s Drive Thru and Sunoco on West 8th Street in West Price Hill early in the morning on June 10.

According to fire officials, Justice used a flammable liquid to start a fire on the rear garage door of the business using an open flame. The business was closed at the time, and the fire self-extinguished. However, the damage caused by the fire was discovered later that morning when the business reopened. Fire and police authorities were called to the scene to investigate the incident.

The fire caused smoke and fire damage to the business that will cost over $1,000 to repair, according to fire officials.
