Man charged with armed robbery of eight-liner business and theft of $3,000

Laredo Police apprehended a man named Raimundo Rodriguez, 51, who was accused of robbing a local eight-liner business at gunpoint. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The incident took place on Monday, May 20 at around 10:30 a.m. at the 600 block of Market Street.

Upon entering the eight-liner business called King Fu, Rodriguez reportedly brandished a gun at two employees and demanded money. He then fled the scene with approximately $3,000 in cash stuffed into a garbage bag. Thanks to surveillance footage and diligent investigative work, authorities were able to identify Rodriguez and track down a vehicle they believed he used during the crime.
