A Sioux Falls man, Darin Naatjes, was arrested in Spirit Lake after making threats to shoot and kill people and blow up a convenience store in the area. The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office filed a criminal complaint charging Naatjes with terrorism and trespassing.
According to the complaint, Naatjes threatened multiple people at Vicks Corner on Friday, June 7, and also threatened to blow up the building. Despite being asked to leave multiple times, Naatjes refused to do so.
Naatjes was taken into custody and booked into the Dickinson County Jail on Friday night. His bond was set at $10,000.
