The victim in the murder outside of Academy Sports + Outdoors on Independence Day has been identified as 22-year-old DeShaun Bonner. Bonner was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and later died from his injuries. The Mobile Police Department is currently investigating the homicide but have not named any suspects as of now.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon outside of Academy Sports + Outdoors in the Festival Centre. According to reports, the shooting took place in the 4 p.m. hour. News 5 has a crew on the scene and is actively working to gather more information about the case.
