Bills wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers spent some time training together this week. Valdes-Scantling, who played with Rodgers in Green Bay from 2018 to 2021, mentioned on FS1 that he and Rodgers found a practice field in Los Angeles and got some work in this week. The two have been great friends since their time in Green Bay, and Valdes-Scantling reached out to Rodgers before heading to L.A. to suggest they run some routes together. They ended up going to a high school to run routes and had a good session.
Rodgers was an unexcused absence from the Jets’ mandatory minicamp, and the reasons for his absence have not been disclosed by either Rodgers or the Jets. Despite the unknown reasons for missing camp, Valdes-Scantling’s comments confirm that Rodgers is currently in his home state of California and is back working on football. It’s evident that the bond between the two players continues to be strong even after parting ways in Green Bay. Their shared training session in Los Angeles reflects their commitment to staying in shape and improving their skills during the offseason.
