Marta has also won Olympic silver at Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, falling to the United States in both finals.
One of Marta’s most impressive records is being the all-time leading goal-scorer in World Cups for both men and women, with 17 goals in 23 appearances across six editions of the tournament.
