Mary Boyd has been appointed as the new chief executive officer for Hiscox’s USA business unit, replacing Kevin Kerridge. Aki Hussain, Group CEO, expressed his excitement over Boyd’s appointment due to her exceptional knowledge and expertise in the insurance industry. Boyd, who previously served as CEO of the independent agency business at Plymouth Rock Assurance, brings a wealth of experience from leadership positions at The Hartford Insurance Company, ACE, Explorer Insurance, and Chubb. She is eager to lead the team at Hiscox and drive innovation and growth in the market.
Kevin Kerridge, who has been with Hiscox for nearly 30 years and played a significant role in the company’s digital transformation, will be stepping down from his CEO position. He will continue to provide advisory support until September before pursuing opportunities outside of Hiscox.
Aki Hussain noted that Boyd’s understanding of the U.S. customer market and her experience in building and leading insurance businesses will be valuable in scaling Hiscox’s U.S. operations. Boyd expressed her enthusiasm for her new role and is looking forward to working with the team at Hiscox to achieve success in the market.
