McCartney Road shipping container business on Youngstown’s East Side vandalized with ribs stolen

Last week, on the East Side of Youngstown, Ohio, an incident occurred where someone broke into a shipping container that also served as a restaurant and stole $150 worth of ribs. Police were notified about the incident at about 10 a.m. when the owner arrived in the morning and discovered that the container had been vandalized.

According to reports, eighteen racks of baby back ribs were stolen along with several bottles of syrup. Additionally, buns and cheese sauce were thrown outside, a DVR was tampered with, and three headsets with microphones were missing.

The bottles of syrup, a camera, and the headsets were later found scattered around the business and across the street. A beer can was also discovered at the scene, prompting the department’s Crime Lab to be called out to search for and collect evidence.
