Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna is facing interest from Chelsea and Brighton and is likely to turn down any new deal offered to him. The 38-year-old is also reportedly on Manchester United’s radar if they decide to make a change with Erik ten Hag’s future in question. McKenna, currently under contract with Ipswich until 2027, is ambitious and looking to advance in his career.

Discussions with Ipswich are expected to happen this week, with the club planning to offer McKenna a new deal to entice him to remain at Portman Road. However, it is believed that McKenna and assistant Martyn Pert are ready to move on to new opportunities. Despite Brighton’s interest, Chelsea seems to be the front-runner for McKenna, especially with the uncertainty surrounding United’s coaching situation.

Any club looking to secure McKenna and Pert’s services would need to pay a compensation fee of at least £4 million. The upcoming talks with Ipswich will shed light on McKenna’s future and whether he will be making a move to a Premier League club in the near future.
