The Swagga Jumpers, a team from I.S. 229 in Morris Heights, are all about finding a rhythm and embodying it in everything they do. They live and breathe the beat of double dutch, showcasing their skills at the upcoming world championships in June. Ranieli Castillo, a proud athlete of the team, expresses her gratitude for her coaches and the hard work they have put in to reach this point.

Castillo explains their commitment to the sport is unmatched, with early morning practices, lunchtime sessions, and after-school drills. Under the guidance of Coach K, who has been shaping their skills since the beginning of the year, they have not only improved their physical abilities but also developed essential qualities like discipline and teamwork. Coach K emphasizes that every flick of the wrist and whispered encouragement contributes to the flow of the routine.

With a national title already under their belt, the Swagga Jumpers approach the upcoming competition with the confidence and swagger of champions. They view this event as their Super Bowl, their moment to shine on a global stage and show the world what they are made of.
