These include refueling vehicles after 6 p.m., avoiding drive-thrus at restaurants in favor of going inside, turning off vehicles instead of idling, adjusting thermostats higher during peak pollution hours (2 p.m. to 7 p.m.), carpooling or utilizing public transportation, and combining errands to reduce overall trips.
