Miami lands commitment from highly sought-after Auburn target Herbert Scroggins

Miami Hurricanes helmets were seen on the sidelines during a game against the Pittsburgh Panthers at Heinz Field, where Miami emerged victorious with a 16-12 win. This win was significant for Miami, but another win came off the field as they secured a commitment from four-star EDGE player Herbert Scroggins. Despite being heavily favored to sign with Auburn, Scroggins chose Miami following a recent visit to the program.

Scroggins made his decision after visiting Auburn and Miami, ultimately selecting the Hurricanes over ACC rivals North Carolina and Georgia Tech. The Savannah, Georgia native is ranked as the No. 376 overall player and the No. 34 EDGE in the 2025 class, along with being ranked No. 44 in the state of Georgia.

Auburn has been active on the recruiting trail during the offseason, but is looking to rebound after recent decommitments and competition from other schools. Currently ranked No. 10 nationally in recruiting and No. 6 in the SEC, Auburn is aiming to improve their ranking as they head into the fall football season.
