During Michigan football’s official visit weekends, the team received its third commitment from an emerging player from Marrero (La.) Archbishop Shaw. Jasper Parker, a 2025 running back with a four-star rating from Rivals, made his decision to commit to the Wolverines while on campus for his official visit. Parker, who was only offered by Michigan in March, was highly impressed by the program and chose to make his commitment on Saturday night.

Parker, a 6’0 195 RB, decided to choose Michigan over other top programs such as Miami, Alabama, UNC, and Oklahoma State. Despite being rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, On3, and ESPN, Parker received offers from top schools like Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, and USC. With Parker’s commitment, Michigan now has a total of eight commits in the 2025 class.

The decision by Parker to commit to Michigan reflects his belief in the program and his desire to become a “Michigan Man.” The coaching staff did a commendable job in recruiting Parker, who hails from the same high school as current Wolverines wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy. With his commitment, Parker adds depth and talent to Michigan’s recruiting class for 2025.
