Michigan State basketball began their 2023-24 season with a disappointing loss to James Madison, a team that captured attention throughout the college basketball season. Despite this setback, coach Tom Izzo is hopeful that the Spartans will have a better outcome this season. The team is set to start their 2024-25 season with a game against Niagara from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on Nov. 7.
