The Kingston Library’s new temporary location at 61 Crown St. opened on October 30, 2023. Several Mid-Hudson libraries are part of the “Digital Navigators of the Hudson Valley” program, which provides free technological assistance to those in need. The program features trained guides called digital navigators who work in member libraries to offer support with various tasks.
These digital navigators are available to assist with using electronic devices, finding free or low-cost internet service, completing online job applications, applying for services, accessing educational resources, signing up for free phone programs, and managing online bill payments. In Ulster County, five libraries are participating in the program: Kingston Library, Elting Memorial Library, Plattekill Library, Town of Ulster Public Library, and Woodstock Public Library.
Additionally, in Dutchess County, digital navigators are available at Red Hook Library. For a comprehensive list of libraries and organizations offering digital navigators in the region, individuals can visit hvconnected.org.
