MOGAS Industries has recently been awarded a multimillion-dollar contract for the South Korean S-Oil Shaheen project to commercialize Thermal Crude to Chemicals (TC2C™) technology. This innovative technology, licensed by Lummus Technology, converts whole crude and other refinery orphan streams into high-value olefin and aromatic products. The project also includes one of the world’s largest steam crackers.

With previous successes in ebullated bed hydrocracking with technology licensor Chevron Lummus Global (CLG), MOGAS will provide over ninety severe service valves and actuation packages for the project. These packages include multiple fast-acting, metal-seated emergency shutdown valves. CEO Matt Mogas expressed pride in being a part of Aramco’s significant investment in South Korea and the first TC2C™ process plant. This investment is expected to positively impact the global marketplace by supporting clean heavy crude upgrading that aligns with the green economy.
