Mr. Latondres Departs Hennepin Commission to Lead Twin Cities Housing Cooperative

Featured Chris Latondrez Beacon Interface Housing Collaborative, a St. Paul-based affordable multifamily housing developer, announced that it has appointed Chris Latondrez as chief executive officer. Mr. Latondres resigned as an elected Hennepin County Commissioner to accept the new position.

Explore Minnesota, the state’s tourism promotion agency, announced it will retain Adventure Creative as the agency of record for its True North promotional campaign. Adventure Creative has offices in Minneapolis and Seattle.

Grocery
Coborns, a St. Cloud-based grocery retail chain and delivery service operating in multiple states, announced the retirement of president and chief operating officer Dave Meyer, effective Dec. 31. David Best has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer and Director. Best previously served as an executive with General Mills in Golden Valley.

The Fredrickson Law Firm in Minneapolis announced the hiring of Rachel Sullivan as chief human resources officer. Ms. Sullivan was named one of the 10 Most Admired Women Leaders in Human Resources in 2022 by Success Pitchers magazine. Fish & Richardson in Minneapolis announced the addition of nine lateral associates to its litigation practice group: Brian Cannon, Vivian Chu Keller, Allison Elkman, Kara Grogan, Matthew Johnson; Brandon Packebier, Evan Sumner, Lucian Wang, James Yang.

Kathryn Hipp Carlson has been appointed as a judge on the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals, succeeding the retiring David A. Stoffelern. Hip Carlson owns a law firm in St. Louis Park.

Nonprofits
CommunityGiving, a St. Cloud-based consortium of central Minnesota-based philanthropy and community fundraising organizations, has announced Dominic Papatola as its first Chief Impact Officer. Papatra previously worked for the Otto Bremer Trust in St. Paul for 14 years, most recently as regional director. He also contributed regularly as a journalist to the Duluth News Tribune, the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Minnesota Public Radio, and other media organizations.

The Woodbury Community Foundation has announced the selection of the following members to its Board of Directors. Elizabeth Crippen Allen of the Children’s Cancer Research Foundation; Cindy Shanley, (retired) Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Kathy Carlson, 3M. Manufacturing
Protolabs, an online and technology-enabled enterprise manufacturer based in Maple Plain, announced that Sean Farrell will become vice president of sales for the Americas region. Mr. Farrell joins Protolabs after serving in a similar role at SmartSense by Digi.
