Wrexham’s striker Paul Mullin, who has been the team’s top scorer and player of the season three times in a row, will not be joining the team on their summer tour to North America. He is currently recovering from a minor spinal surgery that was necessary to address a long-term lower back and hamstring issue. The surgery took place last month, and although there is no set timeframe for his return, the club is hopeful that he will be back in time for the majority of the upcoming season in League One.

The tour will kick off in Santa Barbara with a match against Bournemouth on July 20th, followed by a game against Premier League side Chelsea in Santa Clara just four days later. The team will then head to Vancouver, the home city of owner Ryan Reynolds, to take on MLS side Whitecaps.

Wrexham has stated that Mullin had been managing the injury for three years, but it became clear during off-season training that surgery was necessary. The club believes that this was the best course of action to ensure his long-term fitness and performance.
