Murray’s Market, a new boutique store, recently opened on Main Street in Natchez. The store offers a wide variety of products ranging from women’s clothing and jewelry to bandages and Advil. The store’s owner, Edna Jackson Murray, also operates a real estate office in the same building. After renovating half of the building’s space, Murray decided to open a boutique shop to sell convenience products and unique signature items priced under $50.
Murray’s Market stands out from other stores downtown with its decorations like cowhide rugs, deer trophies, and crocodile skin décor. According to Murray, the goal is to create an atmosphere that caters to women who have had a bad week and need something to cheer them up. Many items sold at the boutique cannot be found elsewhere, making it a unique shopping experience for customers.
Murray, who has nearly 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, runs a successful business with 10 agents who mostly work on “cruise control.” She, along with business partner Courtney Covey, have also dedicated their time to the boutique store. The store is currently open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. Customers can also shop online at murraysmarketonmain.myshopify.com and have their items shipped directly to them.
Murray’s passion for selling and her husband’s work as an appraiser inspired her to start her career in real estate. She believes that a combination of her love for selling, people, and shopping has contributed to the success of her businesses. Customers who visit Murray’s Market will find that the store is a welcome addition to Main Street and offers a unique shopping experience.
