The NASCAR Cup cars made their debut on the track at Iowa Speedway on Friday. The weather at Iowa Speedway on Friday was partly cloudy with a high of 85 degrees, and there was no chance of rain for the Xfinity and Cup practice sessions. The schedule for Friday included the garage opening at 9 a.m. for the ARCA Menards Series, followed by Xfinity Series and Cup Series track activity from 1:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The day’s track activity included ARCA practice and qualifying, as well as Xfinity and Cup practice sessions. The Xfinity practice was broadcast on USA Network, while the Cup practice was aired on USA Network, Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. The ARCA race, which consisted of 150 laps totaling 131.25 miles, took place at 8 p.m. and was broadcast on FS1 and MRN.
