The Carolina Panthers are gearing up for success in 2024, and they recently took a field trip to Charlotte Motor Speedway as part of their final leg of organized team activities. During the visit, the team participated in a thrilling pit crew competition, received an inspiring talk from NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, and even had the opportunity to take some laps around the track.
One of the highlights of the trip was a custom wrap car that was ordered by the team’s vice president of player affairs, Kevin Winston. The car will be part of the NASCAR Racing experience stable for the remainder of the year. Guard Robert Hunt, who bravely squeezed his 6-foot-6, 323-pound frame into the car, shared his experience.
Hunt admitted to feeling nervous during the ride but ultimately enjoyed the experience. He found the car to be cramped and not suited for his size, joking that he is better suited for the football field or basketball court where he can move freely. Despite the tight quarters, Hunt was grateful for the opportunity.
The team’s visit to Charlotte Motor Speedway provided a unique and exciting experience for the players, offering them a break from their traditional training and bonding over their shared adventure on the track.
