The NBA season is coming to a close, and with that comes the anticipation of awards season. MVP and All-NBA picks are being debated by voters, and the league recently announced the finalists for the Teammate of the Year Award and Sportsmanship Award. These awards are voted on by current players, with teams submitting nominees and a panel of league executives narrowing down the list to finalists for players to vote on.

Reigning Teammate of the Year Jrue Holiday was not nominated this year, but the list of finalists is still impressive. The nominees for the 2023-24 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award include players like Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Al Horford, T.J. McConnell, and more. These players are recognized for their selfless play, leadership on and off the court, and commitment to being a mentor and role model for others in the NBA.

Similarly, the reigning Sportsmanship Award winner Mike Conley was not nominated this year either. The finalists for the 2023-24 NBA Sportsmanship Award include Tyrese Maxey, Jarrett Allen, Kevin Love, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tre Jones, and the Kings’ Harrison Barnes. Barnes is the only player nominated for both awards this year, highlighting his reputation for being a good teammate and embodying the ideals of sportsmanship on the court.
