The Connecticut Sun has announced a partnership with NBC Sports-Boston to broadcast 31 of the team’s games during the 2023 season. This two-year deal will bring professional basketball throughout New England to NBC Sports Boston. President and General Manager of NBC Boston-owned properties, Chris Weiland, expressed his excitement about broadcasting the Sun, stating that it is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide. All NBC and Telemundo Boston stations will also showcase the Connecticut Sun’s work both on and off the court, including Boston’s NECN. The partnership will allow for the Connecticut Sun players to be highlighted through in-depth player profiles, guest analyst appearances, and social collaborations.
Although scheduling conflicts with NBC Sports Boston prevent the Sun’s season opener from being broadcasted there, the game against the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be showcased on NECN from 7 PM on Friday, March 19th.
