During the summer, the Huskers have been actively offering scholarships to potential players for the Nebraska football team. The most recent offer was extended to Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte, a junior wide receiver known for his speed. Bonwell-Witte earned this offer after participating in the Huskers Football Camp.
Bonwell-Witte, a class of 2026 recruit, recently completed his sophomore year at Brandon Valley High School. He showcased his skills as a wide receiver for the Lynx, as well as occasionally playing running back. In his last season, he recorded impressive stats with 30 catches for 588 yards and 5 touchdowns in nine games. Additionally, he rushed for 98 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, Bonwell-Witte is known for his speed with a 40-yard dash time of 4.58 seconds and a 100-meter dash time of 10.9 seconds. He has also excelled in track and field, helping his relay team to a second-place finish in the state competition.
Nebraska’s offer to Bonwell-Witte marks his first from a Big Ten school, following offers from Kansas State and Oklahoma. As he continues to impress with his skills on the field, it will be interesting to see how his recruitment process unfolds.
