Nebraska basketball guard, Rollie Worster, has officially been cleared to participate in all basketball activities, as reported by CBS Sports College Basketball Insider Jon Rothstein. Worster, a new transfer to Nebraska, played in 16 games last season before a foot injury ended his season. Despite the injury, he averaged 9.9 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Worster spent the last three years with the Utah Utes before transferring to Nebraska. Head basketball coach Fred Hoiberg expressed his excitement about Worster joining the team early in the process, highlighting his experience and decision-making abilities on the court. Hoiberg praised Worster’s performance in the Pac-12, where he was among the conference leaders in assists, before his injury.
Before his college career, Worster was a standout player at Hellgate High School in Montana, where he was a two-time Montana Gatorade Player of the Year. He also excelled in football, earning first-team all-state honors as a safety and honorable mention as a quarterback.
The news of Worster’s full clearance for basketball activities has generated excitement among Nebraska fans and supporters. Follow @CornhuskersWire on X for ongoing coverage of Nebraska news, notes, and opinions. Stay connected with our Facebook page for more updates.
