New Chief Customer Officer for Unilever’s U.S. Customer Business Development

Unilever has announced the appointment of Matt Gregory as the chief customer officer for customer business development U.S. His new role, effective from June 17, will involve overseeing the sales of Unilever USA’s $9 billion U.S. brand portfolio by fostering important strategic customer relationships. This move has been welcomed by Herrish Patel, the president of Unilever USA, who highlighted Gregory’s extensive leadership experience in the consumer products industry spanning over 28 years. Patel commended Gregory’s ability to drive growth, value, and innovation, as well as his exceptional execution and expertise in various sales channels. He also praised Gregory’s dedication to building talent, teams, and organizational culture.

Gregory comes to this new position with a strong track record of achieving impressive growth and exceeding targets in challenging conditions. Prior to joining Unilever, he led the health and beauty business at The Clorox Co. in addition to serving as president of Burt’s Bees, general manager for the Kingsford Charcoal business, and overseeing Clorox’s Walmart U.S. business.
