New head coach appointed by Norwich City Women

Norwich City Women have announced the appointment of Andy Cook as their new head coach. Cook, previously a coach at Newcastle United, joined the team after a successful stint at Nottingham Forest Women. Under his guidance, Newcastle United achieved promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship and reached the final of the FAWNL Cup.

Cook will be taking over from former full-time boss Martin Herdman and interim boss Scott Emmerson at Norwich City Women. He expressed his excitement about joining the team, praising the facilities and the players he has met so far. The club has set its sights on promotion this season to tier three of the Women’s National League system, currently competing in Division One South East.

Norwich City women’s general manager Flo Allen expressed her confidence in Cook’s coaching philosophy aligning with the club’s vision and values. She sees his appointment as an exciting development in the team’s journey as they continue to progress and grow. Cook will officially begin his role on 1st July, ready to lead Norwich City Women to further success in the upcoming season.
