In an exclusive, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, known for his role in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, is in talks to join the cast of Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s upcoming Jurassic World movie. Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey are also set to star in the film, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards.
The new Jurassic World movie is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025, and will bring a fresh take to the franchise. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill are not expected to return for this installment. The script for the film was written by David Koepp.
Steven Spielberg, along with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, will serve as executive producers on the film. Sara Scott and Jacqueline Garell will oversee the production for the studio. The original Jurassic Park film, released in 1993, redefined the summer blockbuster and has since spawned six successful films in the franchise.
Garcia-Rulfo, known for his TV roles in Goliath and The Lincoln Lawyer, will be making his biggest film appearance in the upcoming Jurassic World movie. His film credits also include Pedro Páramo, A Man Called Otto, 6 Underground, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Murder on the Orient Express, and The Magnificent Seven.
