Gauthier has been appointed to oversee SSA Marine’s container terminal concessions in various locations across the United States, as well as in Manzanillo, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Colombia, and Vietnam. As a member of the Seattle-based executive team, he reports to Uffe Ostergaard, the CEO of Carrix, which is the parent company of SSA Marine.

Coming from DP World, where he held the position of CEO of DP World Peru, Gauthier brings with him a wealth of experience in international port and logistics operations. He initially joined DP World in 2019 as CEO of DP World Ecuador. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of PortSynergy Group, the largest container terminal operator in France for seven years.

Ostergaard expressed his confidence in Gauthier’s ability to lead, grow, and integrate marine terminal operations across the globe. He believes Gauthier’s skills in driving safety, operational effectiveness, and emissions reductions will greatly benefit employees, customers, and partners of SSA Marine. Gauthier himself is excited to work with the team at SSA Marine and is looking forward to driving new levels of efficiency and growth in the company.

The reorganization of Carrix Group has led to the integration of all terminals in the US and abroad into a single division, which Gauthier will now head as president of SSA Marine’s global container division. This move has also created a separate division for cruise operations within the Carrix Group.
