A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on June 27 to mark the completion of an upgraded orthopedics facility inside Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira, where the President of Arnot Health was in attendance along with dozens of others. This new facility is located on the first floor of the Madison Avenue building and includes an improved waiting room, 19 exam rooms, and two x-ray rooms. Dr. Matthew Brand emphasized that these upgrades will provide patients with increased access to the orthopedic surgery department in an office that is bright, spacious, and handicap accessible.
During the ceremony, Arnot Health President/CEO Jonathan Lawrence expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the construction of the facility over the past two years. Dr. Brand took the opportunity to thank former surgeons in attendance who were instrumental in developing the orthopedics practice in Elmira, as well as all others who played a significant role in the facility’s creation. The new facility is designed to cater to the needs of patients in the community by offering modern amenities and accessibility for those with mobility challenges.
