Dakota State University has announced new names for its sports centers, with the opening of the Brian Kern Family Stadium at the Beacom PREMIER Complex. To celebrate this milestone, the university will be hosting Trojan Nights on Thursday, Aug. 27. The event will kick off with a concert featuring Old Dominion and special guests Brothers Osborne, Elle King, and Host/DJ Blake Horstmann. The celebration will continue on Aug. 29 with DSU playing against the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers in the annual Ag Bowl on the new Blankley Field.

The $41 million Beacom PREMIER Complex is the first new DSU athletics facility since the completion of the Fieldhouse in 1960. The South Dakota Board of Regents recently approved the naming of the Beacom PREMIER Complex and the Brian Kern Family Stadium. The stadium and field are named after generous stakeholders who funded the complex, with President José-Marie Griffiths expressing gratitude for their support. This new facility will help student athletes achieve success and bring recognition to Dakota State.

The new sports centers mark an exciting new chapter for Dakota State University, showcasing the university’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities for its athletes. Trojan Nights will be a time to celebrate this achievement and look forward to the exciting events planned for the upcoming season. With the new Brian Kern Family Stadium and Blankley Field, DSU is poised to create memorable experiences for both athletes and fans alike.
