New technology lab set to enhance religious education and OCIA classes

On May 5, Father Jaime Jose blessed Sacred Heart Church’s new technology lab, which features donated and refurbished iMac computers. This lab will be used for religious education and OCIA classes at the church in Waianae.

The iMac computers were generously donated by Iolani School in Honolulu, and a local nonprofit reconfigured their software for internet use before donating them to Sacred Heart Church. These computers will provide children and youth with digital lessons and videos to supplement their current Gospel Weeklies program.

Catechumens and candidates at Sacred Heart Church will have access to online videos and resources that align with the church’s liturgical calendar of Mass readings and Gospel reflections. This technology lab will enhance the learning experience for all students during on-site classes.
