Funded by the Dalio Center for Health Justice, the Division of Community and Population Health at NewYork-Presbyterian, and a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the mobile medical unit offers a range of services to the community. These services include gender-affirming and LGBTQ+ care, family planning services, routine laboratory testing, sexual health vaccinations, health education, and hepatitis C screening. Additionally, the unit provides medications such as PrEP and PEP to lower the risk of HIV infection. Patients can also access social services, benefits enrollment, and referrals to local healthcare providers.

The 37-foot-long unit is staffed by a team of healthcare providers from NewYork-Presbyterian and includes an exam room, consult room, and laboratory space equipped with refrigerators for specimens, medications, and vaccines. To further support the community, the unit will collaborate with community-based organizations to offer low-cost and high-quality sexual health care services.
