A nonprofit organization recently visited a Michigan county jail to discuss mental health among inmates. The organization is working to provide mental health resources to people during their incarceration. Many inmates in the Genesee County Jail face various challenges, and the organization is dedicated to helping them improve their mental well-being.

Dee Dee Taylor, who founded the nonprofit organization Taylor Made Re-entry, has a personal connection to the issue due to her father’s incarceration and the high-profile death of her sister, Breonna Taylor. Taylor and her team work closely with the Justice Department to offer the right resources at the right time to help inmates improve their mental health.

Percy Glover, who collaborates with Taylor Made Re-entry, understands the struggles of being incarcerated firsthand. Together with Taylor, they aim to bring valuable mental health support to inmates in need. By offering these resources, they hope to help inmates achieve a better state of mind and prepare for life after incarceration.
