North Oaks Health System is hosting a fundraiser event called Bunko for Basketball to support the Southeastern Louisiana University women’s basketball program. The event will take place on Friday, May 3 at the SLU War Memorial Student Union Ballroom. The evening will begin with dinner at 6 p.m., followed by Bunko games at 7 p.m. There will also be raffles, prizes, and a silent auction with a Green and Gold theme. This event is open to adults 21 years and older.
Tickets for Bunko for Basketball are currently available for purchase for $45. Admission at the door on the day of the event will be $50. Tickets can be bought online at www.LionSports.net/bunko2024 or at the LAA office in the Dugas Center for Southeastern Athletics. Members of the women’s basketball coaching staff and PRIDE will also have tickets for sale.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Green and Gold Coaches Club, which supports the SLU women’s basketball program. This year’s event will be the 12th edition of the fundraiser. The head women’s basketball coach, Ayla Guzzardo, expressed how beneficial Bunko for Basketball has been for the program and how it allows supporters to have a fun night while getting to know the players and coaches.
