Nottingham Forest secured a critical victory over Fulham at the City Ground, giving them hope of survival in the Premier League. The home side’s three first-half goals were enough to move them three points clear of the relegation zone, despite Fulham threatening a comeback in the second period.

Callum Hudson-Odoi opened the scoring after nine minutes with a well-placed shot following a brilliant pass from Morgan Gibbs-White. Chris Wood then added another goal with a superb strike from distance, continuing his strong goalscoring record. Gibbs-White himself scored the third goal for Forest, putting them in a commanding position by halftime.

Fulham did manage to pull one goal back early in the second half with a header from Tosin Adarabioyo. Both teams had chances throughout the game, with Neco Williams hitting the bar for Forest and a fine save from Matz Sels denying Adarabioyo a second goal for Fulham. The game ended with Fulham in 12th place and Forest in 17th, with Forest heading to Tottenham with renewed confidence.
