Threads, Meta’s microblogging social network, has introduced a new feature that allows users to like and view replies to their posts on other platforms. Previously, if a user shared a post on Threads to a platform like Mastodon, they couldn’t see replies within Threads, forcing them to switch between platforms to stay updated. With the update, users will make fewer platform switches. Currently, users cannot reply to replies directly from Threads, but this feature is expected in the future.
Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, announced that Threads integration with other social networks is now available in over 100 countries, expanding from the initial availability in the United States, Canada, and Japan. Meta had signaled its intention to integrate decentralized social networking protocol ActivityPub since launching Threads nearly a year ago, with testing starting in December.
Various casinos and online gambling websites were also mentioned in the content, discussing slots, poker, and other casino games available on different platforms. The content seems to be a mix of promotional material for different online gambling platforms and informational content about Meta’s Threads social network.
