NU ranks among top 15 business schools

Northwood University has been recognized by Think Advisor as one of the top 15 business schools in the country, based on the salaries of its graduates. This acknowledgement reflects the academic excellence of Northwood University and its commitment to preparing students for success in the business world, according to Dr. Kristin Stehouwer, the vice president of academics and provost at Northwood University. She highlighted the achievements of students and the value they bring to the marketplace.

Northwood University, located in Midland, tied for 9th place on the list, with graduates earning an average of $102,700 mid-career, as reported by PayScale. This speaks to the reputation of Northwood University in producing successful and well-prepared graduates for various industries.

Susie Poli-Smith, the vice president of undergraduate enrollment and financial aid at Northwood University, mentioned that the university sets itself apart by instilling a strong work ethic and individual responsibility in its students. Over 30% of Northwood University alumni own all or part of their own business, with many pursuing further education at the DeVos Graduate School to enhance their skills and distinguish themselves in the competitive job market.

PayScale defines a business school as a college that awards more than half of its undergraduate degrees in business-related fields such as accounting, finance, marketing, and management. The salaries reported are specific to graduates with business majors, rather than the entire student body, and include those with only a bachelor’s degree.
