The recovery time from sunburn depends on the extent of the damage. Along with using aloe vera gel and hydrocortisone cream, consuming certain foods can help reduce symptoms and speed up the healing process. Carrots are beneficial for sunburn as they contain beta carotene, which forms a protective barrier on the skin against UV rays.
