On October 25th, economist Marvin Jebaraj and Northwest Arkansas Council CEO Nelson Peacock will be speaking about regional economic trends at the Fayetteville Town Center. The event is open for registration. The Center for Business and Economic Research, in partnership with the Northwest Arkansas Council, will be releasing the annual report for the region on October 1st at 11:30 a.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center. This report, first published in 2011, is considered one of the best indicators of the region’s economy compared to other cities such as Madison, Wisconsin, Raleigh, North Carolina, Provo Orem, Utah, Des Moines, Iowa, and Austin, Texas. In addition to the report, Marvin Jebaraj will also be sharing economic data from the center’s quarterly business analysis. Jebaraj stated that the program will focus on projections for national and regional economies to recover from a period of high inflation. The University of Arkansas, the state’s flagship institution, will be hosting the event. The university offers a wide range of academic programs and has contributed over $2.2 billion to Arkansas’ economy. The U.S. News & World Report has ranked the university among the top public universities in the country.
