Ollie Bearman set to join Haas in Formula 1 in 2025

Ollie Bearman is set to become a full-time driver for Haas F1 in Formula 1 starting in 2025. The 19-year-old driver, who is part of the Ferrari junior program, will make his official Formula 1 debut next season. Bearman currently competes in F2 and had a taste of F1 earlier this year when he replaced Carlos Sainz at Ferrari for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

In a statement, Bearman expressed his immense pride at the opportunity to drive for Haas F1 Team. His impressive performance at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, where he finished ahead of top drivers like Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton, solidified his position as a rising star in the sport. Bearman’s role as a reserve driver for both Ferrari and Haas this season ultimately led to his promotion to a full-time F1 seat for the 2025 season.

Haas F1 currently fields Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, but changes are expected for the 2025 season. Hulkenberg will be moving to Sauber, opening up at least one spot on the team. Magnussen’s contract is up at the end of the season, and it remains to be seen if he will continue with the team. Potential options for Bearman’s teammate include Valtteri Bottas and Esteban Ocon, both of whom are experienced drivers in the sport.

Haas F1 owner Gene Haas has affirmed his commitment to Formula 1, despite the closure of his Stewart-Haas Racing NASCAR team. Haas will continue to be involved in NASCAR with a single Cup Series car in 2025 and the ongoing operation of SHR’s Xfinity Series team. With Bearman set to join the team full-time in 2025, Haas F1 looks forward to an exciting season with a promising young driver at the helm.
